This tutorial from MakeUseOf seems to be very well done, but 1 hour may be quite optimistic. As someone who spent weeks learning the basics of Photoshop, I doubt how much can be learned in just an hour. However, this tutorial should be very use full to someone wanting to get their feet wet; just be prepared to spend more than an hour. The tutorial is both on the page and available for download as a PDF.
