The 1st. Auto – Cugnot’s 1769 fardier à vapeur

According to Jalopnik.com –

“Aha, I know the first car in the world,” you think, but you are wrong. An Oil Change On A Bugatti Veyron Costs $20,000!?!?

According to ArtOfGears.com –

There are a couple of theories as to why it’s $20,000 but the main reason its because the Bugatti Veyron literally has to be split in half in order to get to the oil inspection area in the massive W12 engine. This includes taking off the heads, inspecting inside the engine thoroughly making sure there are no irregularities, and checking to make sure that oil is being applied in key areas they way it was engineered to do so.

Vocativ reported –

The report shows that whites, blacks, grays and silvers made up 74 percent of the cars put on the road last year, and silver has gradually falling out of favor among car buyers since the year 2000. Greens and blues, which held the top spots in the 1950s and 60s, aren’t even among the top-five color preferences in 2014. Brown, which had a good run in the 1970s, is now also absent from the top-five list.

Car Stereo Theft – A Dying Crime

NPR reports

With all the bad news about property crime and the economy, many people are ready to lock down their possessions and bolt the doors. But here’s one problem you don’t need to worry too much about: car stereo theft. Criminologists and industry experts say the biggest reason stereo theft has declined is that car manufacturers started installing good stereos.
