Save Me! GodFinder.org

-family-guy-godDissatisfied with your current deity, or going through life without any god?  GodFinder.org may be just what you need. It is simply a list of about 5000 gods, with a brief description of each. Past and present favorite deities are included, but most of these gods are obscure and forgotten. It starts with A (yes, A is the name of a moon goddess from Babylonia/Chaldea) to Zywie (a goddess of health & healing from Poland). Considering all of the possibilities has never been easier – just don’t choose the wrong one.

Jesus Bracelet – Can Someone Explain This?

I recently received a flyer in snail mail that is advertising the Jesus Bracelet. It would seem that it is the most powerful pain killing bracelet ever. Sure it’s a “magic” copper bracelet, add “magic” magnets for double the effectiveness – BUT WAIT – there’s more! Add the “magic” power of Jesus for even more healing POWER!

My question is, if any of these three “magic” healing solutions actually worked, why are the other two needed. If copper bracelets actually work – magnets and Jesus have nothing to do. If Jesus works, the magnets and copper have nothing to do. How gullible must a person be to buy this hokum?

Muslim Men Are Becoming Weaker – Saudi Women With Eyes Deemed ‘Too Tempting’ Must Cover Them

The DailyMail reported –

Women with attractive eyes may be forced to cover them up under Saudi Arabia’s latest repressive measure, it was reported yesterday. The ultra-conservative Islamic state has said it has the right to stop women revealing ‘tempting’ eyes in public. A spokesperson for Saudi Arabia’s Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Motlab al Nabet, said a proposal to enshrine the measure in law has been tabled. Women in Saudi Arabia already have to wear a long black cloak, called an abaya, cover their hair and, in some regions, conceal their faces while in public. If they do not, they face punishments including fines and public floggings.

Angry God Forces Pope To Shut Up And Leave

The VancouverSun reports –

MADRID, Aug 20 (Reuters) – A torrential rainstorm forced Pope Benedict to abandon a speech to hundreds of thousands of young people gathered at an aerodrome outside Madrid on Saturday. Driving rain and wind forced the organisers of the event to recommend Benedict halt his address after delivering just a few opening words of welcome. “A massive storm got up and officials halted the programme as it was impossible for the pope to continue battling against the elements,” a witness said.

Jewish Court Decides Lawyer Was Reincarnated As Dog – Orders Death Sentence

Tribune.com reports –

A Jerusalem rabbinical court condemned to death by stoning a dog it suspects is the reincarnation of a secular lawyer who insulted the court’s judges 20 years ago… According to Ynet, the large dog made its way into the Monetary Affairs Court in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem, frightening judges and plaintiffs. Despite attempts to drive the dog out of the court, the hound refused to leave the premises. One of the sitting judges then recalled a curse the court had passed down upon a secular lawyer who had insulted the judges two decades previously. Their preferred divine retribution was for the lawyer’s spirit to move into the body of a dog, an animal considered impure by traditional Judaism. Clearly still offended, one of the judges sentenced the animal to death by stoning by local children.
