Slideshow Maker from Icecream Apps is one of the few completely free slideshow creator apps. What is a slideshow creator? Basically, it makes a video from your photos and audio. Slideshow Maker is one of the simplest to use slideshow programs. You only need to import your photos, select the transitions, choose the time to display each photo, select the size of the output video, and click the ‘Create’ button. It lacks features found in other slideshow creators, but nearly anyone can create a very nice slideshow in a few minutes. It is Windows only.
— The Good – Simplicity. Few options mean even inexperienced users can create slideshows quickly. More than 20 transitions. Seven output resolutions (up to 1920 x 1080).
— The Bad – An Icecream Apps watermark is placed on all slideshows.

Transition duration is limited to 1, 2, or 3 seconds and it is applied to all transitions. Icecream Apps claims that it accepts Mp3 audio, but I found that it did not. It accepted only .wav, .wma, .ogg, or .flac audio files. Output video is .mkv only.

Slideshow Maker is not for everyone. Advanced users will be disappointed. But, casual users looking to quickly throw together a slideshow will be thrilled with this program.
