Time For Obama To Resign

In an excellent op-ed piece, Ted Rall calls for Obama’s resignation. He presents a strong case while barely mentioning Obama’s destruction of the free market economy. How can any intelligent, aware American disagree?

From health care to torture to the economy to war, Obama has reneged on pledges real and implied. So timid and so owned is he that he trembles in fear of offending, of all things, the government of Turkey. Obama has officially reneged on his campaign promise to acknowledge the Armenian genocide. When a president doesn’t have the nerve to annoy the Turks, why does he bother to show up for work in the morning? Obama is useless. Worse than that, he’s dangerous. Which is why, if he has any patriotism left after the thousands of meetings he has sat through with corporate contributors, blood-sucking lobbyists and corrupt politicians, he ought to step down now — before he drags us further into the abyss.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe. These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

… on Chu’s grand vision: “He said building codes should require that flat-roofed buildings have their tops painted white. Visible sloped roofs could be painted ‘cool’ colors. And roads could be made a lighter color.”

Statists of the “save the world” variety are some of the most dangerous people, and the threat they pose owes as much to the ineffectiveness of well-intentioned plans as to the effectiveness of evil plans. In either case, liberty is always the first casualty. Chu puts his cynical disregard for freedom on full display when he justifies his plan thus: if your roof is flat, you can’t even see it! So what do you care if we force you to paint it?

Bigot Nominated To Supreme Court

President Obama has nominated a Hispanic woman, Sonia Sotomayor,  to the Supreme Court. The NY Times reported that in a 2001 speech, she stated

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

Image the uproar if a white male opined that a white male “would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a” woman of color. All hell would break out.
